In 1932, Ole Kirk Christiansen, a carpenter in Denmark, started to make LEGO pieces, consisting of rough prisms made of carved wood in her workshop, from plastic over time.

Lego, which takes its name from the Danish word "leg godt", literally means "play well".

Established in 1934, the company started to produce plastic toys in 1947 and spread its product to a much wider market.

The company, which started to produce the interlocking toy type in 1949, has designed and produced with such a perfectionist policy that the pieces produced in that day can come together with the pieces produced even today.

While production was only in Europe at first, the company, which entered the American market, transferred the production of new parts to Samsonite instead of opening a new factory here.

LEGO, which generally targets around the age of 7-16, actually tried to produce products that would make each audience addicted to itself.

As the American and world market developed, meeting the needs of the growing generation with comics and computer games made it a bit difficult for LEGO to hold on to the market.
